Tutorials¶
Task-driven walk-throughs. Each tutorial assumes you have an MCP client connected to https://mcp.io-aerospace.org/mcp and have signed in. See Quick Start if not.
| Tutorial | Level | What you learn |
|---|---|---|
| Connecting an MCP client | Beginner | Wire up Claude Desktop, the TypeScript SDK, or MCP Inspector |
| Ephemeris queries | Beginner | Get state vectors of planets, moons and barycenters |
| Coordinate conversions | Beginner | Frame rotations and equatorial coordinates |
| Orbits and elements | Beginner | Keplerian, equinoctial, Cartesian, and anomalies |
| TLE propagation | Beginner | Parse and SGP4-propagate a Two-Line Element set |
| Maneuvers and transfers | Intermediate | Hohmann, bi-elliptic, plane changes, phasing |
| Geometry and visibility | Intermediate | Visibility windows, eclipses, illumination |
| Mission scenarios | Advanced | End-to-end propagation with maneuvers, perturbations, constraints |
The JSON payloads in these tutorials show the arguments of a tools/call. Most MCP clients will hand them to the LLM through their prompts; you generally do not write them by hand.
